In 2014, I was sitting in the corner of my bedroom, with just a table, a laptop, and a camera - equipped with nothing more than a passion for art and photography. I had always been fascinated by the power of design, and that led me to start creating small projects. Little did I know that a simple idea would evolve into Addis Studio—a full-fledged branding company we are proud to celebrate today.

"Addis" means "new" in Amharic, a nod to rebirth and promise. I was born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, which holds a special place in my heart—it’s where I did my schooling until middle school. The name felt right, as it represented not just a fresh start for me, but also the limitless possibilities for every brand I work with.

Initially, my focus was on logo design, helping businesses visually represent their identities. Soon, I ventured into product shoots, learning the art of visual storytelling. With every new client, the boundaries of my business expanded. It wasn’t long before I was receiving requests from clients abroad, making Addis a global name in branding.

Then came the pandemic. Like many others, the stillness of the world gave me time to rethink. I saw it as an opportunity to grow, and that’s when Addis Studio was born. No longer a one-person show, we expanded into a team of creative minds, offering a full range of branding services. Today, we handle brand identity development, website design, social media management, packaging design, and commercial photography, just to name a few.

Ten years in, the journey has been nothing short of remarkable. What started as a spark of an idea has grown into a branding company dedicated to helping businesses create a lasting impact. Every logo, every shoot, and every brand strategy we’ve crafted represents our belief in the power of new beginnings.

As we celebrate our 10-year milestone, I’m excited for what the future holds—because just like "Addis" promises, the best is always yet to come.
